Position Title: Purchasing Buyer

External Description:

Position Summary: The Buyer’s primary goal is to lead, negotiate and execute sourcing activities for all commodities for Corporate, Affiliate, and Care Center needs in accordance with the specifications of our stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as primary contact for Care Centers for all types of commodities.
  • Coordinates the procurement of supplies, materials, services and equipment for Unified and its Affiliates, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations, program goals, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manages the Fixed Assets Offboarding process.
  • Manages equipment leases and liens.
  • Bids out requests to several vendors as needed to receive the most competitive price.
  • Partner with Accounts Payables to research and resolve PO discrepancies.
  • Manage procurement process in NetSuite.
  • Partner with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) to ensure adequate funding is available to meet future growth.
  • Establish and/or maintain key business relationships with departmental stakeholders and business owners, including but not limited to Accounts Payables, Accounting and IT Security.
  • Lead, negotiate, and execute all sourcing activities to the defined project timelines and approved sourcing strategies.
  • Issue requests for pricing and negotiate an optimal cost level for areas of responsibility.
  • Develop standard offerings to simplify common purchases for Care Centers.
  • Collaborates with counterparts and internal stakeholders to get the best possible results for Unified in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Features.
  • Work in tandem with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues and expedite payment issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years or more experience in Purchasing or related field.
  • 4-year degree with Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field of study preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or equivalent financial packages.
  • Leasing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience required.
  • Ambition the be part of a highly engaged team culture.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach to daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent problem solver and a self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information and processes to an audience, including upper management.
  • Minimal travel as needed to Care Center or vendor locations 5%.
